This is probably off-topic, but I am having problems with Facebook. I am trying to add a company to my "Friends List" but I can't figure out how to do it. Does anyone here know how to use Facebook?

Some companies you don't "Friend", you "Like" them. That's because one person/company/thing can only have a limited number of friends (like 6000 maybe?). I bet you need to "Like" them--button should be on the top rightish side of their page. If ya need more help tell us what page it is.
Thanks Kitty. However, I am also having trouble finding the "People" option. I found it once, but I forgot how.

First, know that pages and profiles are different - people usually have profiles, where you have to friend them, and they have to accept the friend request. And some people, groups and companies have pages, where all you have to do is click the like button.
When you go to someone's profile - a person or entity that you have to send a friend request to, and they have to accept it - there is a button at the top of the page that says "Add as a friend" - if you click on that, it will pop up a screen where you can send a friend request.
If you go to a company or person's page, they don't have friend requests - what they have are "like" buttons, also at the top of the page. And you can click on it to like that page. It doesn't go into your friends' list though, pages you like don't show up on your profile for others to see, as far as I know. They will show up in your news feed, though, when the pages have posts.

Not sure what this means. If you want to search for people specifically, type in the search box, hit enter, when the results come up click on "People" on the left hand side of the screen and that brings up only profiles (of people to friend), and not interests (which can be people or hobbies or entities or books or movies or whatever, which you can 'like'.
