First off, I tried the Help function and then tried to get onto the MS website to get help - forget that!!!!! :evil

My computer got infected with spyware and I had to have it removed. I managed to save my documents but have incurred a problem with MS Works that I don't know how to deal with.

I'm using Vista.

I suddenly find that MSWord, MS Spreadsheet and MS Calendar & Data base all take up my full screen. At the same time, Wordpad and Notepad are manageable because I can click on the borders and resize them. On the others, I can't find a way to even FIND the borders!!!!! :flag:

So, where do I go or what do I do to correct this?????

Also, before, I found the thing in the control panel that allowed me to single click on an icon to start an application. This time, it isn't there or I can't find it. Where please.

Thank God I didn't lose all the manuscripts and stuff.:hooray:

Have you tried to minimize, and then use the border to resize? You can minimize either by clicking the minimize button at the top right of the window, or right click on the application icon at the bottom of the screen, and then select minimize.

Where you say control panel, do you actually mean the quick start menu down at the bottom of your screen?

First, I figured out how to resize the MS documents

Second, in the quick start button you go to a place where can access your Control Panel. There are two sections I've tried - Ease of Access and the Mouse one. Neither gives me an option from changing to 1 click instead of 2.

If you want to put something in the bottom quick-start menu, just copy and drag it there. You can also edit the buttons; delete them or move them over. Quick-start items are single click.
