Since we are all writers here, I thought this would be something fun for us to do.
"Plan Your Epitaph" event provides a good opportunity to take a moment and think about what you might want written as your final tribute.
What is an Epitaph you ask? Well it's an inscription upon a person's gravestone, tombstone, headstone and the like written in memory of the person. A good Epitaph is something written that makes you stop and think too.
So what would your Epitaph say?
So famous ones are as such,
"Here lies the body of Richard Hind,
who was neither ingenious, sober or kind."
Poet H.J. Daniel's epitaph for his wife:
"To follow you I'm not content.
How do I know which way you went?"
Lawyer Sir John Strange:
"Here lies an honest lawyer,
and that is Strange."
Julian Skaggs of West Virginia: "I made an ash of myself."
