Old Weather is a project aimed at digitising the weather entries recorded in the logbooks from over 200 Royal Navy vessels around the time of World War 1. I thought it might appeal to people here, because as well as providing data that helps scientists model our weather, it is an opportunity to examine the logbooks of battleships, gunboats and merchant cruisers, among others, as they travelled around the world during those years, and see the kinds of events they typically encountered from day to day.
