Hello everyone,

A new month is about to start and I am taking on the role of blog chain host once again. Are you sick of me yet?

I received no precise suggestions for this month so I came up with one of my own. I'm in a whimsical, "it's summer time let's just have fun", kind of mood. Here's my random title: August Coloring Blog Chain
This month's subject is: If you had to pick one color, and one color only, for an aspect of your writing, which one would it be and why?

You can take this from any angle: the color of a character, the color of your plot, of your mood when you write, of your immediate surrounding, etc. Just have fun with it!

If you are interested, scroll down to the reply box and enter your blog's address so I can add you to the list!

Each participant posts when his number is up. The first one will go August 1st. Even if the blog chain has started, you can still be added to the end of the list.
When it's your turn, you have two days to post your participation, and then publish the direct link to your post in this thread. I will remind you it is your turn two times (when it is up and, ideally, 24 hours before your deadline both here and by PM). If you are unable to publish your entry within two days, the chain will move along to the next person. You will be moved at the end of the chain if you request it so (here or by a quick PM to me).
Your post must include the list of the blog chain's participants with the link to each blog.

The aim of a blog chain is twofold:
a) Have fun
b) Discover new blogs
This means that a true chain blogger reads and comments on the entry of the other participants. You're not a faker, are you? ;)

Finally, two friendly pieces of advice:
a) Visit this thread regularly or use the subscription feature to make sure you don't miss your turn.
b) Try to keep you post under 1,000 words. Longer post tend to receive less attention.

As I said, I am doing a reminder here at the beginning of the two days then another one here and by PM after 24 hours.
Please use the "Thread Tools -> Subscribe to this thread" feature to get a reminder every time a new message is posted here (either just on your User CP or by email as well). This will keep you from missing your turn.

I'm willing to make an exception for a regular participant who happens to be busy this month and doesn't have the time to check here regularly. However, it is supposed to be an exception.
I'm sure you can understand that I don't want to hunt down every participant when their turn is up. I expect participant to want to take part in this and look forward to their turn. So please, use the aforementioned tool and check back regularly. If you don't want to miss your turn, you shouldn't have any trouble to know when it is up.

I'm sorry if this sounds harsh. I know my limits and I don't want the blog chain to go from "nice activity" to "burden" on my schedule. I really don't want the "even more reminder" to become a habit.

Fair enough. Coming in blind, I wasn't aware that it's not your usual practice.
