Think about why you need/want to be writing it. Break it down into bite sized writing chunks. And tackle it one little chunk at a time. Also figure out what's making you procrastinate. You figure it out, make it managable, fix it.

Icerose, it was one of those bits of writing you do for money

Advertising, actually (blush). Had to read A Bunch of Stuff about *gulp* tyres and then turn it into two lines of dialogue.

There is, believe me, a lot more fun to be had here than there (not that I'm not grateful for it etc etc)

Three months later. You'd think I'd have learned to do it myself by now....

I'm meant to be re-reading the plottage for New Novel before I hand it over to my partner to check (I know - it's appalling, it's just how we work: he's better at finding plotholes than I am, but I know all the good words plus I can spell) but today I can't settle.

Blech.

Must. Start. Work.

Maybe if I go for a walk first? Or take up Italian? Or take up with an Italian?

Ugh.

Woo! I've got my 3 homework questions finished. They're not perfect, but hopefully good enough.

So once I print them out, I can slack off for a little while. There's still a few other things to do, but hey, at least I've got the absolutely essential stuff done.

Well, I slacked off for 7 hours... In my defense, I had a headache due to the heat here. Now I've really got to plan my assignment for tomorrow's class. It's done in teams of 3, but I'd prefer not to rely on my team-mates...

*sigh*

On the plus side, I realised that with this Retail course, every second week I'll have no homework. This is because it's done in twos. One week we learn, the next week we do assignments and hand in the week's homework.

Then after that unit, there shouldn't be any homework because we haven't learned the first week of the next unit yet. See?

So hopefully once I've done this assignment, I can have a week off.

Finished the plottage!!! Yayyy!!!! (Well the first run-through, anyway). Now I get to offload it and spend a week or so being incredibly homeandgarden and reading and playing on AW and oh maybe a movie would be nice, and maybe a show....
