I've had a serious craving for some fiction with fairies/sidhe lately.
Can anyone throw some good ones at me? (Bar the Dresden Files, I already got them)

Tithe by Holly Black is a dark YA that's really good.

And I haven't read it personally, but I've heard good things about Rosemary and Rue by Seanan McGuire. (I think she has the same cover artist as the Dresden Files)

Raymond E Feist's 'Faerie Tale' is brilliant.

The Good Fairies of New York

I thought Martin Millar's "The Good Fairies of New York" (available at the library) was very funny.

It finds two Scottish thimble fairies transported to lower Manhattan. Morag and Heather, who didn't completely fit in back in the old country, are a bit bewildered by their new surroundings, but make do as best they can. They're not entirely alone-as it turns out, New York is heavily populated by fairies, including Italian, Chinese, and black ones.

I'd also go with War for the Oaks.

Not only is it a faithful re-imagining of the Sidhe, it's one of the books that helped start the UF/CF genre in the US.

Best fairies book ever!

Also "Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens" and "Peter Pan" by JM Barrie. Oldies but goodies. While you're at it, you can't go wrong with "A Midsummer Night's Dream" by Shakespeare. And "Lud-in-the-Mist" by Hope Mirlees is also brilliant. Sandman: Dream Country and Sandman: World's End by Neil Gaiman have some great fairy stories too.

How about OR Melling's "Hunter's Moon"?

I also liked Tad William's "War of the Flowers". It was the weirdest look at Faerie I've seen in a while.

A couple months ago there was a pretty good story in Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction that actually was about hunting fairies. The boy gets bitten by something, and turns into a monster.

It was in the January/February issue I think. Can't remember the title.
