Sailed right through. I did the whole article in around 20 minutes and another five to find resources. Not too shabby at all. I just sent in my second article so we'll see what happens. . .

It's nice when you can submit work with the CE's are not busy! I wish I could work for DS more, but my head keeps exploding when I look at the titles. I had a nice run on gardening and camping titles...I wish the articles were better organized so I could find stuff!

I so know what you mean. I try to keep an open mind about what I'll write for, but some of the titles are either very specific or very "out there." Oh well. I do have other places to write for also. It's just nice to have DS to fill in the gaps between gigs.

Keep writing and with good scores, you'll eventually get a queue increase. That helps because then when titles are dumped, I go page by page sifting through them for things I can write. If you can pick more at one time, it's more efficient. So then I'm set for days instead of trying to find a couple at a time.

This might be a stupid question, but...

How can I see the due dates of a DS article? I claimed two articles TODAY and submitted them both today - and while looking at my work desk I see that they both have today listed as the due date.

I thought that might be the case, but an article that I submitted on 2/22 (that hasn't been reviewed yet) is showing a due date of 2/25. I guess maybe it was just a fluke in the system.

Thanks!

Janine - that means it's in a CE queue and they should edit it by 2/25.

I thought I read somewhere that the articles are due within seven days of being claimed.

Just started with DS

I just signed up with Demand Studios, after reading about everyone's experiences with them here on the boards.

I finished two pieces for them yesterday, the first one was accepted with no re-writes, (yippee!), and I'm still waiting to hear back on the second one.

One question:

My bio is still pending with them, and one thing I neglected to add in the bio was my education. Somehow I just didn't think adding "Lorentson is a high school graduate" would be very enlightening on my bio.

Would they really want me to put that on my bio? Does anyone else on the forum write for them without a degree? I just feel that adding that bit of non-information would look goofy, but if they insist, well...okay, then.

Thanks a bunch,
Callie

I just got my first article accepted, too! Yeaye!

The tricky part is going to be finding something else I can write that easily. Or start taking classes in car repair . . . ;)
