I have heard people say they had so many hits in a month, or that such and such post is more popular.

How do I get that info for my blog? Tried looking into blogger settings, but I didn't find anything.

I would very much appreciate your help.

Thanks.

I've installed Google Analytics onto my blog, which is useful at spotting general trends--but its usefulness is limited by my dial-up account. If you go to your Google Account page you should find information there about how to add it.

I also use Sitemeter, which shows me IP addresses, in-clicks and out-clicks, search-terms and all sorts of other goodies (go to my How Publishing blog linked to below, scroll to the bottom of the page, and click on the sitemeter logo to go there--they give good instructions for installing onto your own blog). And I have a rough-and-ready visit-counter on my blog's front page, on the right-hand side--again, click on the counter and you'll be taken to a page where you can install your own.

There are other systems out there, but these ones work for me.

I have a blog, the trouble with a counter is if you visit the site it adds to the counter. So if you click on the pages to browse or add stuff which chances are something done quite frequently, it would be difficult to know unique visitor numbers. I suppose this is not a big deal if the traffic runs into hundreds or thosands per day but if the count is less then 100, your own visits would amount to a high percentage (unless keeping track of how many times you clicked yourself).
I tried using google analytics, was told to add javascript code to the blogger HTML code but failed to work. Maybe there is a small requirement to be technically savvy implementing Google Analytics.
