Lawrence Jordan Literary Agency

I met Lawrence at a conference a few years ago and really hit it off. He's got a background as an editor for New York publishers. He seems to know the market, he knows the right people to submit to, etc. He offered great suggestions on my proposal, marketing ideas, etc.

BUT I know at least 3 people who signed with him and all complained of him not actually making submissions to publishers (it wasn't just that there wasn't sales, but that he couldn't produce names or other evidence of actually making submissions). I know there was some personal/extraneous stuff going on at that time, but before seriously considering signing with him, I'd want to contact at least 3 current clients and ask them of their experience with him.

Publisher's Marketplace doesn't show any deals for Lawrence Jordan in the last 24 months. Though not all agents post their deals here, that may be telling, perhaps.
