Are there any UK authors here?

I'm experienced in helping authors from other countries break into the US market, but not the other way around. I just discovered one book was picked up by Tesco, a large supermarket chain in the UK.

Honestly, I'm clueless about the European market for the most part, but have been told this is a very, very positive development.

I'd like to help the author gain more of a foothold there pre-release and wonder if there are certain message boards or websites where blogging could generate the most interest.

Any tidbits to help me learn about the UK market would be most appreciated.

Thanks in advance! :)

Is the book in any particular genre?

If it's science fiction or fantasy, then you could look at the website of the British Fantasy Society, which has forums.

The Crime Writers Association is a good resource for getting the word out for crime fiction.

Messageboard wise, the only two that come to mind are:

writewords.org.uk

and

YouWriteOn.

Thank you, Momento!

Spirituality, Self-Help and Paranormal are three categories under which the one particular book tends to fall.

I'm inserting her daily blog at sites like Beliefnet, Oprah.com, Divine Caroline and a few others, and certainly realize people from all countries read at such sites, but am also seeking more regional websites that might be appropriate for her to create a profile and post her blog.

I'll check those sites out. Thanks again. :)

A possibly relevant regional magazine is Kindred Spirit. I know they do book reviews, so maybe they'll take a copy for review? Their contact link is at the bottom.

By "picked up by Tesco" is it in stores or only on the website? If the latter, they just take from the same distribution chain Amazon uses. If its on Amazon, its also in Tesco and a whole heap of other places.
