What is the rating of LA:
Friedrich Agency LLC,NY
William Morris Agency,NY
Janklow & Nesbit Associates,NY
Trident Media Group,NY
and what reputation they have.

The first one is Molly Friedrich, right? If so, all four of those have excellent reputations. I believe Janklow & Nesbit reps Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child, though I may have them mixed up with someone else.

There's no best when it comes to great agents. Here's a blog post moonrat posted just today about what to expect from agents that has a quote relevant to this discussion:

I didn't even know agents and agencies had ratings. Either they can sell books, or they can't. By this shall ye know them.

Just look at the client lists. That's all you need to know about any agent or agency.

There are no ratings out there, if you're hoping that there's some kind of equivalent of the "top 50 colleges" list kind of thing.

All of those are fine, high-profile literary agencies; there's more info about each one on the Bewares and Background Checks subforum here, and at querytracker.net.
