Hi, I'm not exactly sure if this is the right forum to post under, but I believe so. If not, just let me know and I'll go where the right area is :)

I'm trying to promote my book that I'm publishing as a serial novel on my own website. It isn't printed and it's not available in e-book format right now. I'm not sure where I should go to let people know that I've put it up? I'm using Twitter a little bit and that's sort of helping, but short of paying for advertising space (which is not really part of the budget I have right now) I'm not sure what I can do.

Any help, suggestions, tips, anything at all would be greatly appreciated :)

For the record I have no advertisements on the site and no plans to make money of any sort from the site.

Thank you!

I wouldn't invite people until there's something there for them, a chapter or two at least.

Have you considered doing a Podiobook? If you've got some audio chops that can be a great way to get your stuff out there. People are more willing to listen to a long work than to read it on a screen.

Hey hittman, thanks for the reply!

I actually have 4 chapters plus a Prologue up so far :) I didn't want to invite anyone to an empty site so I agree with you there.

Maybe I'll look into the Podiobook thing. I've not considered that. Thank you!

If anyone would like to see the book (well, what's published of it so far) please let me know. The novel is completed already I just didn't want to post it all at once. :)

Are you on Facebook? I'd get rolling there, build up a list of friends, set up a Fan page, and then invite your friends to become fans. And are you blogging on your site? That helps, too.

Cheers,
Sandy
