Unpublished as it is : (

And probably never will be, by a real publisher. I'm feeling real down as you can tell. But I do like the cover I made, and will probably use it when I finally decide to self-publish THE SOUL SEEKERS, and also for the audio podcast I'm working on.

Here it is- if it works:

I'm sorry you're feeling down. I'd love to send you some chocolate. Alas,I'll settle for positive vibes going your way. I wear glasses so I love the cover and I want to see the others.

I am insanely jealous of the folks here that can make book trailers and now, covers. It just isn't fair.

Thank you Kitty. I had gotten used to the steady stream of rejections, but today's from the Rappaport agency got me down. But oh cruddy well, I'll keep trying ; )~

I'll let you know when I have a new one.

Hi, folkchick!

I just popped in to tell you not to give up. (I'm sure you've heard that before, but, well, it bears repeating!) I checked out your link and I was quite interested in how you've described the premise for your novel. How far along are you in the query process? It's a long road, and it's normal to get knocked down a few times along the way. It's o.k., as long as you keep picking yourself back up.

Good luck!

I'm a couple months in and shouldn't be giving up yet. I think I just let myself get too down about the whole thing and became a defeatist. It's probably good that self-publishing is expensive, right? Haha.

Thank you for the kind words. I'll hang in there and see what happens!

I've been wanting to do a mock cover for Witch Tourniquet for a while. I want to take a picture of the cross in Witch Tourniquet in snow, but yeah, the south equal no snow, which means no possible mock cover for me unless I can somehow create fake snow, take it to a forest of completely naked trees on a hazy day.

Skye, we can totally make snow! Being in Cali there is a lack of it as well- so I have "fake" pictures playing in snow. Photoshop is the best! I'm sure we can get that done for you! I'm not really artistically creative, so I have YET to come up with a book cover for Guardian- you guys are way ahead of me. ;)

How do you create realistic snow? Photography is my hobby (and once I graduate college I hope to have a degree in it so after I'm done with years and years of being an editor I can retire with my own business), and I've been dying to use my awesome dSLR for such a picture.

I'm sorry you're down and TURST me I have been there. Hell, I brought a townhouse there (LOL)

But keep trying. It took me 150 query and seven months to get an agent!

Keep writing. Keep working. The writing is the fun part. Remember that. The getting publish part is the part that's work. But keep writing. Maybe a new story or a new take on the old one. I like the cover. And don't spend all that money getting self pub. Or at least do that AFTER you have tried EVERY SINGLE AGENT.

Its worth it.

Good luck!:poke::Hug2:

Book Cover

Creating a mock-up book cover is a great way to convey the genre and themes of your book. I've made one and know that popular authors have also created their own covers (though not the covers publishers use). It's a fun and creative process, that can get the writer thinking about the story and what image would best express that message.
