I always found him to be mostly amusing. Liked his work in The Blues Brothers, Magnolia, and of course Nashville.

His work on Laugh-in was priceless.
He was the whole reason I watched that show! Him, and the few times the Monkees guest starred. He was awesome. I loved his dry wit.

Very funny guy. And his work in Altman's Nashville was stunning.
Funny thing, at the end of every poem when he'd say his name, it was like he was saying, "by Henrik Ibsen." Kind of lends a new poignancy to the Little Bird opus, no?
