Why do people never lock their cars in films, and how come they never get stolen?
Why is there always thunder and lightening in horror films, whereas it wouldn't be happening in real life?
Why do people always have to fall over when someone's chasing them in films? It doesn't add to the suspense, not for me, it just makes me roll my eyes and think 'stupid useless bastard.'

When on the run from the government, police, spy ring, illuminati, etc.-- when the characters get away, why does one of them think it is o.k. to call their mom, dad, significant other from a pay phone right outside where they are staying?

When wanted by the government (after having stolen millions) why don't the characters just leave the country and live abroad?
