The author must be feeling flushed with success.

Oh come on, someone had to say it.

But seriously, who hasn't made jokes about printing stories on toilet paper? So someone's actually gone ahead and done it, eh, okay, more power to their wiping finger, but the idea isn't new.

I meant typing finger! Typing!

But...but.....(no pun intended....) I see a place for all the short stories that have merit but no place to pub. I think this is a cool idea. What a neat concept, plus it will give the ah....sitter something to do while ...well, you know.

I think the price might be right on too. Not bad for a couple of stories. What folks do with my stories after they have paid and read them....who cares?

<<<<<<wonders away....

It was done on single-ply and agents and editors specifically state they want double-ply...

Cheering you all on!
If it's a bathroom based horror story (seems like it is), that's actually really clever. Where better to scare yourself with that particular story?

Here's the link.

But is it a legitimate publishing credit? One thing's for certain, whether a good or bad story, it's going to be used for only one thing.
For Koji Suzuki, yes, I'd say it's a legitimate credit. He's already well known in Japan. (His novels are available in the U.S. as well.) I think it's cool they used a story by a really well known author for this instead of just hiring someone to ghostwrite (bwah hah hah) a crappy (won't go there) horror story.

For Joe Author -- or for Koji Author for that matter -- that might depend on the story and why they hired him. :)

I love this. It's a great idea (I mean, why not?). And I was already giggling from Derek's post when I happened upon Haggis' newest ugly dog and I bust out laughing. That thing is an eyesore.

I've seen a lot of horror stories on TP. Just short stuff though. Flush fiction.

dodges thrown objects

srsly I'd have loved that back when I did a lot of reading on the throne

Okay, if I find this when I go to the mainland, I am SO buying a few rolls. Hell, they might even sell them here.

Either way, I'm buying some. Just because. Y200 is a small price to pay for something like that...it's the shit.

Anybody want one? I'll mail 'em.

Man, I'd hate to tell you what I could write on my toilet paper.

Especially after a few lagers and a curry.
