others opinion on Zoetrope virtual studios

What was the address of that site? I'll try Zoetrope.

Is there somewhere on that site that gave you access to reading the screenplays, because I don't see it?

Joined and found it! Will give feedback when I have read four scripts and given reviews. Wouldn't be too surprised, though. It seems wide open for anything (and that means there is going to be a lot of crap), but that's okay because that seems to be the basic idea. That anyone can get feedback at any level they happen to be at.

As an open admission site similar to TriggerStreet, your mileage may vary. It's got a script database 3 times the size of TS too, so the competition is much harsher. Bring your A game when posting your scripts!
Luckily most of the scripts I've read there are really good. The writers make typical newby mistakes - formatting in some blocky font, for instance - and your task is to set them straight. That can be tough. But the energy and imagination of new writers shines through and I've come across some real winners. Can I post my favorite loglines here?

I've read some really good scripts on Zoetrope and some really bad scripts. It is a place where anyone can post their scripts, but everyone has a positive attitude towards the critiques. The one thing I don't like about Triggerstreet is that you can't upload short scripts, whereas on Zoetrope I can upload a whole season's worth of episodes for critique (provided I read the mandatory 4 scripts per 1 script uploaded).

You have the option of having a malicious review removed from your critiques. I remember I wrote one review for a script and I really tore it apart - not to be mean spirited, but to get the writer to understand the faults of the script, which were numerous. The writer didn't write back that I didn't know what I was talking about, but really appreciated the fact that I took the time to really think about his script. I think the trick to reviews is to point out mistakes and offer an alternative approach. When I offer reviews, I truly want people to better their scripts. Some that I have read were almost flawless.

Oh, also, a person who has his/her script reviewed rates his/her reviewer. So a person who doesn't offer much help in their critiques is likely to get 2 stars, while an in depth reviewer will likely get 4-5 stars.

I just reviewed someone's script. Gotta admit I sorta' killed it. Didn't mean to, but as it wore on, its flaws seemed to grow and grow. I did mention the single thing that I thought the writer had going foir him or her, but I've got to admit, that when I looked back on it, it seemed pretty harsh. But what else can you do when you really, really think the script writer is lost in the woods and it seems the writer has been too lazy in formulating his or her story?

Early on at Zoetrope you didn't get to choose which script you wanted to critique, they were assigned. Sounds like this has changed and now you can choose?

Overall, I found Zoe to be worth the time and effort, with nearly all critiques obviously genuine and made with integrity as opposed to being flippant or off kilter in some way that wasn't positive in terms of being constructive or helpful. Allowing users to grade reviewers is a good approach 'cause it tends to weed out the lunkheads.

Even now it is like that . if yu submit your script you are assigned four scripts . But later yu can read any script yu want .
