In another thread, I challenged you to take the next step with your poetry, whatever that is, and to tell us how it goes.

This thread is for those who work better with someone to keep them accountable, to provide a place to partner up. Find a partner who's got a similar project (two poets nerving each other up to submit) or a complimentary one (a modernist trying to write a sonnet could partner with a formalist exploring free verse).

Post what your project is and what you're looking for in a partner here. If you see a post from someone you want to partner with, use the Rep button or PM them. (When/if you find a partner, please come back and edit your post to say so. There's always a few popular types and if you're one, you don't want to be deluged with PMs.)

My project is to polish and submit at least five poems by the end of this quarter (end of June). Anyone else trying to get past procrastinating on submissions who wants to partner up?

excellent idea, Di. I wish I could offer, but I have been terribly dry and would disappoint my partner I think, but I commend you and wish you the best.

My project is to begin trying to submit my poetry to publications. I have tried once, half-heartedly, many years ago by sending one submission to the New Yorker. (Ignorance may be bliss for some, but it's mostly been humiliating for me. Lol.)

I would like to begin learning how to submit my stuff, and would further like to hone some material for submissions.

I am a complete newb at this, and anyone using trade talk with me should be prepared to explain acronyms or terms that are common once someone's been doing this for a while.

I appreciate all help, and am willing to be an open book, so to speak, regarding what I need to do or learn.

I enjoy critiquing, so am willing to help anyone with anything along those lines, regardless of whether they're able to assist me directly.
