Help Dear Scribes

Can some people name me some really good places to be published in the poetry genre, can be journals or wherever really.

And I know precisely how eye rolling what I'm about to ask is: Is there publishers that receive poetry? I know of a few but would like tons of backup.

I want to point someone in the right direction that already has won awards and has earned some good recognition in the field, but in Canada and I'm hoping to transition her to the States.

Me and my daughter are reuniting and I want to have some poetry places she could do in the States instead of in Canada. Thanks

Hey, I'd suggest you go to a site like this: http://www.duotrope.com/index.aspx

From there, you can select poetry then make your search specific to your poetry genre, length, payscale, location etc.

Once you click search, a whole list of poetry magazines/publishers will come up and from there you can pick the one that looks right for you.

Not sure if this is what you were looking for, but you can give it a try.

Good luck with finding a home for some of your poems.
