Poetry submissions--ss or ds?

I've been submitting poetry double-spaced, but recently ran across a source that said it should be single-spaced, unless otherwise noted. Does anyone know what the general rule of thumb is? Appreciate your input!

Single spacing is usually preferred for poetry (double for prose), unless stated otherwise in the publication's guidelines.

Thanks, Skylar! I've gotten that same feedback on another forum as well. I actually prefer them single-spaced, so it's good to know editors prefer it that way as well.
