Querying a company you know about

I want to query a publishing company I'm familiar with because of my freelance work. Should I make mention if it in the query letter? :Huh:

What do you mean by 'familiar with'? If you've worked with them, I'd mention it. If you just know about the, isn't that implicit in that you're querying them?

I'm trying to get established a book reviewer and I'm on their press list. Because of this, I've seen the books they publish and I really like them. Therefore, I feel they are perfect for my book of poetry.

Sure. "As a member of your press list, I'm familiar with the books your company publishes. I believe my anthology fits the structure and theme of these works..." etc, etc.

Sometimes it's who you know! If they know you and you know them, it can't hurt for sure.
