I've been writing as long as I can remember. For the last few years I've been working my way up as a screenwriter, but yesterday on a whim I just started writing just to write and I discovered I really miss it. So today I decided to check out the "novel" board. The problem is, I've been away from "just writing" for so long I can't remember if there is anything I should remember. :Sun:

Any rules or important tips you can throw at me?

Steph

Only one bit of advice I can give you....

Screenwriting, as you know, is all present tense.

Fiction should generally be all past tense.* ;)

*Yes, yes, before some of you flame me, I know there have been some novels written in the present tense, but very few. :)
