In the script I'm working on, I've been teeder-tottering back and forth with a few of the sluglines and wondering which choice of words I should use each time and stick with. Let me list my headings so you can see what I mean:

Int. roth's bedroom - day

int. - hallway - continuous

int. roth's bedroom - continuous

ext. lenneman house - driveway - moments later

int. downstairs - living room - moments later

int. downstairs - living room - moments later

int. upstairs - bathroom - continuous

INT. DOWNSTAIRS - LIVINGROOM - MOMENTS LATER

int. Roth's bedroom - night

int. hallway - continous

All of these take place in the Lenneman house throughout the story, but I'm confused as to whether I should stick with refering to it as 'Lenneman House - Roth's Bedroom' or just use a simple "Roth's Bedroom". I'm also wondering if some of the 'continuous' headers should not actually be sluglines, but rather just use a transition like "Downstairs". It's confusing because its a rather simple problem, and I feel like I should already know the answer...

So what reference should I go with? I feel like it needs continuity so that it doesn't look messy. Help?

I had the same problem as you. One of my stories took place in a house, so what I did is in the first slugline I mentionned the house, and in the other ones I just mentionned the room.

INT. LENNEMAN'S HOUSE - BEDROOM - DAY

INT. BATHROOM - CONTINOUS
