I want to express my thankfulness for this very moment.

All is quiet in the house. None of my family is ill or angry or lacking in anything. It is cold outside but, I do not feel it. I am wrapped in fluffy fleece blankets. My house is no mansion but, I am not homeless. I am not hungry, sad, afraid, in pain, or worried right at this very moment.

Right now I am relaxed. I feel joy and the desire to express my thankfulness. May God Bless you this very moment.

Sincerely,
Gehanna

Thank You Deb Kinnard :D

Yesterday was a wonderful day. Right now is another great moment. I think that moments like these are a little like the everlasting experiences there will be in Heaven.

Sincerely,
Gehanna

I was with you up until the god part. I'm glad you're happy and cozy and content. Try giving yourself a pat on the back for getting there. You deserve it.

And we praise God for His goodness to you, Gehanna! Thanks for sharing your moment(s) with us and spurring us to praise as well. :) This very moment the sun is shining on my patio, I'm sipping a perfect cup of coffee, and the breeze is stirring a tiny wind chime to join the birdsong. Yup, a tiny glimpse of heaven!

Wow. Beautiful. It's so important to recognize those moments but so easy to take them for granted. Thanks so much for sharing!

Very well said, Gehanna. :) Your thoughts here are very similar to thoughts I'm having right now. I have food in my stomach, a roof over my head, and electricity to power my heater and other necessities. Even though my bills for next month are huge, I am thankful that right now, I have everything I need and God is providing for me.

Also, I pray too that God might bless you this very moment. :) He is indeed good, and like a preacher used to always say, He always takes care of His kids.

Have a good weekend. :)

Experiencing gratitude, contentment, recognition of that which is good in your life, and feeling connected to, in awe of or just resting in God is not always the same as feeling good. I find these feelings are not rare at all among people of faith (though there are rough times, angry times, hurtful times, even doubtful and anxious times for us as well). I wish and pray for you that you find a way, whatever it may be, to find peace and goodness in your own life.

On the note of thankfulness - last night after church my daughter (who is a special needs 'child' of 23) said "Mom I know it sounds selfish but I am glad to be one of the ones who has too much to eat."

Me: "Well, honey, that's..."

Her: "Because I know I'm the kind who will share."

God is good.

I am thankful my children and I are in such a beautiful place. Moving from California to Tennessee, it finally, not only feels but LOOKS like the holidays. The colorful leaves are everywhere and it SNOWED last week!

I am very blessed in every aspect of my life.

Praise The Lord!
