Pay how much? On acceptance or on publication? Secrecy about payment raises red flags to professionals.
What will the stories be used for (print anthology, periodical, ezine...)?
When do you anticipate publication?
How many words a minute can your readers read? (If you could give us an estimated word count, writers can provide stories of the right length.)
What writers' guidelines do you have? (i.e., things that you will not allow, format you require for submission, deadline)

Not that there's necessarily anything underhanded going on, but AW's Paying Markets board has seen many instances in which the person seeking our work has little more than a dream and a vague sort of idea.
