How do I remove someone from the ignore list?

A couple of weeks ago, I made someone on this forum upset. And she decided not to read any of my posts again. So I said fine that's her choice. I really want to apologize to her, but she probably blocked me. I added her to my ignore list because and thought she added me there too and it really hurts to see her posting(She never insulted me, or said anything mean.), or see her username. I don't know exactly how this works though. I thought ignore lists are like, well, you can't see her name on the online members list or you can't see any of her posts. It did however made her rep point message invisible, which is good. Because I don't have to be reminded that I did something wrong.

Now I want to remove her from the ignore list. But I can't. I checked her name and said Save List, like it said. But it wasn't working. And if she's reading this, I apologize for frustrating her. I'm going to finish my book for her sake.

Just go to your User CP, then look over to the left and find "Buddy/ Ignore List" (or something like that) and click it. Then just remove the people you have on ignore.

I'm assuming I'm not on your ignore list and you can actually read this. ;-)

Blue, you have to UNCHECK a name to remove it from the list. If you only have that one name, you can highlight it and delete it from the text field and then click "Save list" -- it will be gone. If you uncheck the box under the name field and save, the name is still there and it will then appear above with its own box -- but uncheck that and save again, and it will vanish.

I just experimented (with someone I don't like) to see how it looks with and without.

The Ignore list only applies to things like PMs -- and, as you observed, reps. If someone is sending you flameriffic or just too-stupid PMs, you can Ignore them.

That's a good question right now.
Ignoring does block posts, too, but what appears is a placeholder, very similar to what appears when a mod deletes a post.

Blue, I added someone to my ignore list a few months ago, then last week I saw a posting of hers that I thought would be interesting. I took her off my ignore list via her profile, unchecked the box and read her posting. It wasn't interesting, so I then put her back on my ignore list again ;)

Just for quickness, if you look on the right of the blue bar at the top of any post made by someone on your ignore list, there is a link to click to "View Post". It reveals that particular post without taking that person off your ignore list.
