I only recently stumbled over You Tube—okay, so I'm slow! For a couple of weeks now I've been exploring this amazing website. Just this morning I entered "fiction writers" in the search box. The very first item that caught my attention is a 3-part lecture by novelist Barbara Kyle on story structure. I think it's worth a gander.
It starts here.
I might also add that one book she references, The art of dramatic writing by Lajos Egri, just may be the best book on the craft of writing ever written—and authors with far more 'street cred' than me think so.
I can't wait to discover what other treasures You Tube offers. In the mean time, I'm memorizing Egri's book.
(This video is also an example of terrific marketing, eh?)
Happy typing.
