Sounds like we are all in the same boat kids wise. I am also looking forward to them going back to school--but still have at least 3 wks…

However, I did manage some output this week. :)
I wrote "the end" on the fantasy piece, but I am waiting for hubs to give it a once over before I commit to that particular ending. Plus I still have to trim off nearly 900 words.

I got almost 5K on the prompt for this month! But again, trimming needed. I don't want to make anyone's eyes bleed in SYW from staring at it for too long. :tongue

I subbed 3 micro fiction pieces just for kicks. We will see what happens.

Novel sits untouched. Oh, and I got one rejection on a previous sub.

Goals:
This week, a re-vise to this month's prompt story.
And start the 3rd revise on the fantasy, with hopes that the 3rd time is the charm.

hmmm... output.... output...

Oh yes. Edited about 40K. Sadly, all someone else's words. Also, all major boring s***. I want to skip to the part where I learn kung fu. :D

Anyway, this week more of the same, though with some blog updates and maybe, by the end of the week, a chance of scattered WIP outbreaks.

oh, and I'm adding "make goals look as pretty as DG's" to the list

I'm not sure how much writing I'll be able to accomplish once kiddos go back -- I have morning and afternoon commutes to/from school (up to an hour round trip depending on traffic, so that's two hours of driving a day) and I'll lose my late night writing binges -- my mornings will start at 6 am. Still have the pay the bills job to do during the day, so... I guess I'll just have to see what's available for free time. I mangaged to write quite a bit last fall and the schedule hasn't chanbged THAT much....

40k edited is no laughing matter. Especially with what you've been editing.

Yeah, I was realizing that when I was starting to think I wasn't making any progress on it. But thanks for saying so DG.

Hugs and pushups,

Tigress Tyrant

Can I join 6700 posts in? I've been horrible about keeping up with my goals lately but in the last week I hit 12000 words on my current novel including skeleton writing the final scene and I submitted five shorts. :D
Greetings tiny terror,

Nice word count! Good luck with your subs. Welcome aboard, there is always room for one more:)

So I must increase the bribe. I will give you a matching sheep and monkey skulls if you post goals this week. They make lovely candy dishes.

Hey TT, long time no see.

Hey I'm busy as heck, having worked Saturday.

Got in 700 words on 'Fireopal' so that brings me to 6,400. Management staff traveling so I should have a light work load (read this as 'coming to work at 9 and actually leaving at 5. PM. EDT')

I love you all as much as I'd love 100 screaming chainsaws dropping on a heard of zombies.

TTFN

Lady Jay,

Word count and chainsaws! You have earned your reward. I will have the
candy dishes filled with cottage cheese and jello and delivered express mail.

Hugs and pushups,

Tigress Tyrant

*prepares bbq pit for yet another of the Lily's masterpieces*

Morning all -- reporting in for the week --

I think my goal was like 1500. Actual output was 2325 on 2 shorts.

This week the kiddos start school (Thursday) and beginning tomorrow I'm going to start going to bed before 1 am (which is unfortunately my usual writing time) and getting up no later than 6:15 so I am able to actually get the littlelings to school on time and in one piece. Ugh. I'm just not a morning person.

Anyway, put me down for 2000.

Laurie,

Great word count, considering the mayhem you have been rocking. Keep it up!

Hugs and pushups,

Tigress Tyrant

Way out there
Good news! (Sort of...) My phone was knocked out in a storm, so I've been writing more, well, for me anyhow. About 1K a day for the last four days. It seems like a reachable goal. Two prompts for a possible anthology, and today another chapter on a WIP I hadn't touched in months. Whoots! It does give me hope of finishing one.

My kids don't go back until the 26th. I'm pretty sure that after that, I'll be able to write and have a bit more output than I've had in the past month or so.

Goals were 2,000 words.

I got in a slim 3100 words, managed to line-by-line crit 80+ pages of a novel I'm beta reading and edited three of my own works.

Next week!

1500 words (yes, I know, but back to school shopping and football practice take time too) 3 submissions, 80 more novel pages betaed and 2 more short story edits.

Ef,

Good going. Good luck with the subs. For passing your goals you get to come to my house for stew, its BYOB...bring your own body. But i have plenty of shovels for everyone and good loose top soil;)

Hugs and pushups,

Soap,

Excellent job. Back in the saddle so to speak. You are invited to my place for stew, also BYOB...Bring Your Own Blood. But there are bound to be some distracted donors walking around after the beverages are served...if you can't manage the BYOB

Goal: Get more writing done. 400 words.

Output: Working on fleshing out my characters for 'Travesties', using a wierd idea. Interview in a pub kind of thing. Does this make me crazier than usual? I'm talking to myself in different voices. o_O

A dark, evil place.
Output: -7 words.

Yeah, I got an edit almost done. But that's the sum of my forward movement in the last two weeks.

Somebody slap me, please.

Not you Leukman.

Not you, RT.
