Hello.

My name is Toni and I started writing when I was about 12. Unfortunately, it's been several years since I have actually written anything. Mainly, because I am no longer suffering from Depression. Yay! I used to write poetry...a lot of it. Now...none. I have been getting the urge to write again. Not because I'm depressed, heaven forbid! I don't really know what I want to write. I like reading Historical Romances currently. I've read so much since I was a kid, I think I've hit many genres. My biggest weakness is research. I also haven't written man short stories as my forte was poetry. I'm hoping to at least get some ideas, flesh them out, and get feedback.

I fear I'm depressed. I recently stumbled across an article called "the Sylvia Plath effect", it explains how mental illness and creativity go hand in hand especially amongst women writers, although it lacks actual evidence of this it would explain... ALOT lol :) anyway that was just some random useless info. Depression could be cultivated and used as its own cure, writing does seem to fix me... Most days.

Hi, Toni! Welcome and I'm glad you're not depressed anymore, even if it does usually get your creative juices flowing.

Welcome. It's interesting that you write more when depressed. I generally can't write when I'm depressed.

I am a new member, too :). I like all kinds of fiction, but I mostly like to write paranormal romance. Good luck to us both on our writing endeavors! May the success be with us. Haha, that sounded geeky, sorry :D.
