Anyone writing Fantasy/sci fi with a queer protagonist?

Always looking for writing buddies to bounce off ideas/brainstorm, etc.

My UF has a lesbian MC and possible an asexual MC but not sure on that yet. :)

Yeah, just finished second round of edits for Lindsay versus the Marauders. MC is a lesbian, has an alien girlfriend, lots of action and drama. Fun stuff, a huge change from what I usually write.

I'm going through edit number three of my historical fantasy where my MMC is bisexual, discovers he is bisexual when he falls for a gay man (this isn't the core of what my story is about), and discovers his servant boy has a crush on him. Another character, a female, is asexual.

Yup. My female MC falls in love with a FTM trans* man. Another SF story I'm working on has an m/m romance and an asexual female protagonist.

Yes, me. The two main characters are a lesbian couple, but then again pretty much all the characters are women.

Still slogging my way through the first draft at the moment. Haven't really written a romantic relationship of any type before, but the relationship between the two of them is more a secondary plot point (that is, it's science fantasy with a dash of romance, rather than a romance in a science fantasy setting), so hopefully won't bollocks it up too much.

Yep! It's a YA retelling of sleeping beauty, sort of, with lesbians. Revisions aren't going well though. I dropped the ball somewhere, and I can't figure out where I left it.

Looks like this is the thing to do these days. I have a gay character in my post-apocalyptic fantasy series; it's an ensemble cast but she's one of the MCs. As of the first book, she's in a relationship with a man and it's not at all discussed, but in the next two, she'll fall for a woman.

Yup, I pretty much just write about paranormal characters who are some flavor of gay.

I'm currently writing a short story about a widowed transman, who works with his mother in law as an necromancer, and what happens when his dead wife comes back.

<---------- the cover image on my avatar is a Sci-Fi/dystopia novel with all queer characters.

Also have some short story steampunk with gay characters too!

They are all listed in my sig line, too.

My protagonists tend to be lesbians, for some odd reason... :D

Out of my three WiPs: one has several lesbians, though it isn't until the next book that the main character starts a relationship of her own; the main character is already in a lesbian relationship; and the two main characters were in a relationship, sort of, before one of them grew butterfly wings. (It's a long story.)

I mostly write fantasy, and mostly with queer characters.

In my W-I-P, I recently decided it was the kind of world where anyone could have homosexual or heterosexual relationships, to varying degrees, at any given point in her/his life. Not exactly meaning that everyone is essentially bisexual, but because there's very little moral or religious restriction on sexual behavior; just some pressure to reproduce and carry on a family line.

The story started with -- what I thought was -- a very heterosexual male protagonist. I recently wrote a scene in which he receives a kiss from another guy, and he's thrown a bit by the feelings it produces in him. Just realizing that he *could be* sexually and maybe even romantically involved with another man, though those aren't the feelings that have shaped his view of himself.
