How'd You Find This Site?

I've had the AW blog saved in my bookmarks for years. I never noticed the link to the forums until it was mentioned by someone else on another writer's forum I recently joined. I had to look at the page for several minutes before I saw the forum link. It looked like a promoted ad, so I basically ignored it. I've trained my brain to not see ads online, apparently.

I just found out about Absolute Write while browsing the Web. I was starting on a novel and needing some questions answered. Great resource so far, I love it.

I'm a moderator over at Fantasy Faction. I was browsing a thread about writing and finding an agent actually and one of our members and authors Anne Lyle posted a link here. I've just completed a work that I want to get agented so I thought this would be an ideal place to get something happening on that front.

Ditto. Once I read the Newbie Guide posts about treating one another with respect and the very thoughtfully written post about rape culture (and the importance of respect for one another when discussing topics that can elicit strong emotional reaponses), I knew I was in the right place. Actually, my exact thought was, "My people!"

Glad I found you fine folks. Thanks for making this newbie feel welcome, and for leaving a trail of breadcrumbs to help the noobs like me figure out how this place works.
