Dutch apple has a strudel-type concoction on top of it, instead of a regular old pie crust...

No one ever listens to me.

I need pie.

where you can put sugar sprinkles on lots of thing
Thanks, I'm happy with either type of crust or both.

speaking of food stuff - I was watching Gator boys which is really rather sweet and went into the kitchen for a few - okay - several minutes.

When I came back they were showing a snake whose head was the size of a VW bug!!!!!!

that was enough TV for the night and maybe tomorrow.

My son very graciously gifted me with a new computer, since mine was about five years old and getting cranky. Unfortunately, he neglected to load Word on this one. No editing for me until I find my copy. Which may never happen since the big move. :(

I'll be finding stuff that I forgot I owned for months...

Hi Synonym, in the mean time, use open source programmes. I wrote and edited my memoir on a netbook and downloaded one of these. I can't remember which one I used but here are two I found. maybe someone on tech help, or better still, our well-behaved kee kat, might know which is better.

http://www.openoffice.org/
http://www.opendocumentformat.org/

I'm quite sure I used openoffice.org which was developed by Sun Microsystems and then bought by Apache.

Sorry, but I think I might just be taking away an excuse to slack off editing. :D

Darling grandgirl #1 graduates from high school tomorrow.

I gave her some good advice for the future: Don't drive like your crazy mother.

Congratulations on your granddaughter's graduation tomorrow, AC!

WriterWho, sorry about the nasty person who doesn't like you. Unpossible! But congrats on the good news!

I think I survived my day. To make a long story short, attorneys behaving badly in the deposition I reported yesterday resulted in one of them handing me a subpoena at the end of the day. I had to show up in court today! He wanted me to testify on the stand as to his demeanor during the depo. I was SO angry to be pulled into the middle of their fight. But the judge wouldn't let him call me as a witness, so I got to go home.

Why I *love* attorneys.

I was just talking to DD #2. She is up late. She has got a big day ahead tomorrow--getting ready, the graduation ceremony, then a party afterward. They are having the graduation at 1:00 in the afternoon. Strange time, I thought.

No, they are having it at a college near by (Austin Peay State University). I think it's just so many schools use the college auditorium that they have to schedule some in the afternoon.

It wouldn't be so odd if it were a Saturday or Sunday rather than a Friday. It might be hard for some parents to take off to go to the graduation at that time of day.

The high school graduation ceremonies you guys have look like the sort of thing we do for graduating university. I remember when I finished sixth form, which is the same age you'd graduate high school, we basically just got booted out the door with a bit of paper showing our grades. I suppose it's nicer to mark the occasion in some way.

ROAR :D
