:) Hey Del! I know, I've been AWOL. :/ But hoping to get on more. Work is killing my fun time. How are things in your world?

SSDD.

Only 17 hours this week, and 8 of them start at 6 AM tomorrow, so I'll be heading off line now.

Glad to see you back, though, girlfriend. Come back more often. :D

ugh 6am, I know the feeling. My days often start then, too. Hopefully you'll get some rest. Thanks! I'll try to get in here more. :) Have a good night!

Almost slept. Kept waking up every 20-30 minutes, thinking that I'd miss the alarm. Always happens when I have an early morning, y'know. Normally, I close, so this morning stuff is just weird.

I think I figured out the first scene to this story I've got to rewrite. Hope it works out. We're shooting for a late June publication date, so there's real deadline on this stuff.

So, I was bummed last night and went trolling YouTube for something to make me laugh. Started with things from Singing In The Rain, migrated to What's My Line, which somehow got me to Groucho Marx, which lead me to Harpo and Chico Marx, which then lead me to Victor Borge.

For my dad's 50th birthday, I took him to see Victor Borge on his final tour. (He was a comedic pianist--or is that a piano-playing comic? Hard to say). My dad is a big a fan of his, and I adore him too. One of his classic routines is phonetic punctuation, which is hilarious in its own right, but I'd never seen it like this--SUNG! But, then again, I never watched the Dean Martin Show either.

Phonetic Punctuation left me breathless with laughter. Housemate thought I was having a seizure. It was GREAT.

So that new WIP is now at 9k. Not bad for 5 days. Keep in mind I did that blog post that was over 1 k too in that time.

Just got the mock up cover to the prequel, Vision of Secrets. Blew my socks off!! I love it. Can't wait to be able to share, but we'll do a cover reveal at some point, so it'll be kept under wraps for now!

It's a shared world (Fantasy) anthology series.

Magic can only be accessed by blood-letting. For centuries, the vorteciens commanded the known world, using people as sacrifices as they pleased. While the people fought back, they could not win. Not until one of the greatest vorteciens of all time turned against his own kind and created the tereges (plural of terex, which is what's in the picture), which allows normal people access to magic without sacrifice. A war ensued between the magic-using Cadre and the vorteciens. In time, the vorteciens were beaten back.

Several hundred years later, people believe that the vorteciens are gone forever. They grow nervous about having the Cadre around, because magic is corrupting and they don't want to be ruled by magic users again.

Most of the stories in the first issues focus on the Cadre d'Florant (it's a French-influenced word, think Louis XIV) and the conflicts between their duc and the Duc d'Lascelles after a Florantian terex claims a rather--ill-advised partner.

Aw, very cute puppy, Vince! And congrats on the edits!

Del, many thanks for the reps! You must've had to of hunted my posts down. :D Of course, I do have a lot of 'em out there. I love those covers, very bright and eyecatching. Of course, I'm rather partial to dragon-like beasties. :D But I think they're really nice.

Graduation is done. Now is the lull between that and the trip to London when I should be writing.

Should.

I have a list of ideas I've been puttering away at. I think I'll just take off to a coffee shop tonight, pick one random idea off of the list and make myself write something.
