Within an hour of querying! My concept doesn't suck! My query doesn't suck! Now...the manuscript, will see.

I feel like this is bragging, but I'm alone right now except for the two dogs I'm sitting. They were very happy that I was jumping up and down and kissing them, but I wanted some human celebration, ha.

Anyways, for those of you querying, keep pushing and editing those query letters. Out of the 11 I've queried this is the only positive response so far. According to QueryTracker's stats, I can count myself lucky at that. So keep pushing and eventually someone will respond! And keep your fingers crossed for me on this full!

I also followed this agent on Twitter, and he DMed me asking me to query him, so being active on Twitter=winning for me today. And to think I thought it was just procrastination.

Thanks! I'm still at the beginning of the process and continue to edit the crap out of my query. But yeah, it was a bright light of hope. Still haven't heard back, and of course, have found like 10 typos in the novel...hopefully that won't hurt me too badly.

Hester, thanks for the calming note on the typos. Slowing down my querying until I've done another read through! I've had other people read it but their notes get suspiciously sparse as the action picks up, ha.

Congratulations, that's awesome! The first time I got a request for full ms, I was so happy I was almost delirious. Maybe I don't suck! Maybe I'm not deluded! I wanted to run outside and hug everyone I met on the street. Mind you, I want to run outside and hug everyone I meet on the street most days, unfortunately it tends to be frowned upon.
