Hi! I'm South East too :) Umm, I love finding places that I never knew existed really - anything vaguely interesting! At the moment I have a bit of a thing for derelict buildings...I've been sneaking around building sites with my camera and getting told off for being in places I shouldn't.

I'm pretty sure you can't go around any of them, but the site is interesting at least!

Damn, I wish I'd seen this in time to go to the meet-an-agent event! Please post if there's another!

I live in London - in Camberwell until recently and now Hammersmith/Shepherd's Bush. Would love to meet others!

Fave places in London - too many to list. I'm happy walking around just about anywhere, but then I'm a foreigner. The abandoned RR track sounds cool! In a similar vein, off the top of my head, I like the Regent's Canal in Islington, the New River in Islington, and Abney Park Cemetery in Stoke Newington - haven't been around there in years, though. I also love Chinatown, and the Vietnamese restaurants in Shoreditch. And I've done a fair bit of writing at the Royal Festival Hall.

I love looking at others' pix of derelict buildings and envy your bravery. :)

And Dungle, I've always loved that ghost station website!

I'm back -- I'm in the last (insh'allah) stage of my novel rewrite and gearing up for round two of querying, so it will soon be time to resurface and talk business again.

Waylander, thanks for mentioning the T Party; after rereading this threat, I contacted them -- I miss mixing with other writers! -- and they say I can come along to a meeting, as I've got publishing credits. Any members here and wanting to reveal themselves? Just curious!

I'm in the T party, though I don't get to the meetings as often as I'd like at the moment thanks to a mix of work and deadlines. We're a friendly, mixed sort of bunch. Come and see :D

Hi! Yes, you did - it was fun. See you next time!

(And thanks for the heads-up. I can't remember anyone else's username... maybe some of them will see this and PM me?)

:)

Sorry folks.
This event has been cancelled due to a family bereavement on the part of one of the speakers.

We will try to reschedule this next year.
