I'm working on a query letter to a print magazine for a trivia article. There's an article that I wrote about a year ago that I want to mention in the letter, but I don't have a physical copy and I can't get in contact with anyone.

I want to mention this previous print article in the letter, but since I have nothing physical to point to, should I just forget it?

Did you have it published somewhere the editor might be able to find it? Not really sure what you mean about not being able to get in touch with anyone...

If you can't find it anywhere, though, I probably wouldn't mention it. If you do mention it, they'll likely ask you where to find it, and your answer may seem fishy.

All you need is the bibliographic info. Sometimes libraries may have archived issues in which you can look up your article. Try searching archive sites.

Do you have your original draft, perhaps in Word or something like that? Maybe you can pass that on!
