I just finished The Blue Blazes by Chuck Wendig. I'm also starting another one of his books Mockingbird.

I'm halfway through Beautiful Sorrows by Mercedes M. Yardley, but I'm having a little trouble with it. Even though I love reading on my Kindle there's something about this book in particular that DEMANDS a physical copy. I need to touch it as I read it. Weird.

I recently finished NOS4A2 by Joe Hill, The Year of the Storm by John Mantooth, and The Day and the Hour and Drone by Ennis Drake. I highly recommend them all. Now I'm reading Stephen King's Joyland and loving it so far.

Just finished reading Stephen King's Cell, again. I actually do love that book. And James Herbert's The Magic Cottage just found its way to the top of my to read pile.

I'm reading 'The Professional' by W C Heinz. I'm trying to ration it, because I'm waiting on 'Cold Mountain' and 'Skagboys' by Irvine Welsh, but neither has turned up yet, and I hate being without a book.

Just started Douglas Clegg's Neverland. I love the voice so far. Is this what they call "Southern Gothic?" It's definitely Southern.

I just finished Molly Tanzer's decidedly Lovecraftian A Pretty Mouth. Enjoyable!

Next up is Jeanette Winterson's The Daylight Gate. I loved Helen Dunmore's The Greatcoat (also from the Hammer Horror publishing arm), so I'm looking forward to reading Winterson's take on 'horror' — and I've always been fascinated by the Pendle witch trials.

Planning to start The Shining soon. There's a new(ish?) edition out, and I somehow never got around to this one, so I decided it's time.

I am re-reading some of Edgar Allen Poe's stories. Some of these things I've read about 20 or 30 times, never gets old.

Poppet by Mo Hayder

You know, I'm not usually *scared* by the horror I read. But this one?
 From the first scene I was uneasy reading alone.

Also, didn't realize this was part of a series. And I kinda jumped into the middle. May have to go back and read the others...

Going through the Dresden files, quick and easy and good for in
between jobs.
I think I will reread From a Buick 8 next, I was surprised how much I liked it.

I liked it! Different than the movie (obviously) but I think a fan of one will enjoy the other. I'm looking forward to the sequel, Dr. Sleep, due to come out soon.

I wanted to get into Lisey's Story from King but I could only handle about 60 pages of it before I decided that i couldn't do it anymore. I was forcing myself to push through but I had World War Z on the way, so I'll be starting that instead!
