Seems like ever thing is running later this year, except the cranes. I don't expect hummys around here for a few more weeks. Still, its a good reminder to get the feeders out and cleaned up.

Here at least, "later than the last few years," isn't really late but on proper time. It's just that for the last few years things have been sped up and then we end up in a drought in the fall, which historically is not what we should have. I'm hoping for a normal, the way things used to be, weather pattern for this year

I can't wait for hummingbird season to start here! Few more weeks still for us.

'Til your last gold dollar is gone.
I've had a few since the beginning of April. I keep my feeder clean and filled. I saw one today. We're due for a record low tonight (in the 30s, which is insane for C Texas in MAY), so I wonder how the little things will fare.

I don't think I've ever seen a hummingbird.

But we're seeing ospreys this year, which is very cool.

We get the little guys/gals (Anna's hummingbird's) year round out here in Central CA. Never seen an osprey, though. That would be cool.

Unfortunately for us, Spring got a very early start and it's "already" summer, in that the temps will be in the 90s for the next few days. I wish we could do a split and send some of the warmth and dryness to the parts of the country that need it and have them send some of the cooler, moister weather here.

When it's this warm, my hummingbird feeder leaks and spews its red goo all over my patio.
