Thanks Don :)

Considering NLA get over 30,000(!) queries a year, I am *so* impressed by how quickly they respond.

I sent them a query and received a rejection in 17 minutes. However, said rejection came at 3am and was not a form. It was detailed, referenced particulars in my query letter and said that while she thought my writing was good and the story had promise, it didn't fit what she was looking for at the moment.

Got an R on my partial 7 weeks later, just as I was beginning to be *convinced* it must've got lost in cyberspace, as they're normally so fast. It was complimentary and personalised, and apparently both Sara and Kristin read my pages, which explains why it took a little longer. They really are some of the nicest (and best) agents out there.

Got a request for the first 30 pages 5/24

I queried Sarah Megibow, but the request came with both Sarah Megibow and Kristin Nelson's names.

Fingers crossed.

Seems that way. But I may be rolling on towards rejections. I'm still hopeful, though!

Got the big R today. Bummed. Was hoping Sarah Megibow would bite. :-(

I queried Sara Megibow on 6/25 and got a form R a few hours later. I pitched it as a trilogy and judging from a Twitter discussion she had during that time about not liking it when people pitched her trilogies, I expect that had something to do with it (among other things). She might have thought I had already written a full trilogy (I haven't) and that scared her off. I've since changed the phrasing to "planned trilogy," so that's something to keep in mind when querying.

Yes. There are only two of them there, and replies are signed by both.

What do you need to know? They remain a highly reputable and successful agency.

I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who's worked with Sara Megibow. She requested a full from me yesterday, so I'm researching her more fully now. Just in case... (crossing fingers)

I've only corresponded with Ms. Megibow a few times, but in every instance, she was cordial and responded promptly. She works at a fantastic agency and has an impressive client list. I sincerely hope she offers!

Sara Megibow gave me detailed feedback when she rejected my full manuscript last year. I'd love to have her as an agent and benefit from that level of feedback all the time.

Thanks, guys, good to know. I'm going crazy waiting, which is downright stupid cuz it's only been a few days. From everything I've heard about her she sounds great, but I want to make sure she lives up to her rep. Assuming she even offers, LOL.
