My big boy passed his first evaluation to be a pet therapy dog with flying colors! I'm SO proud of him. We went to an assisted living place and visited several people in their apartments. Also saw some folks in the hallways. Dukie went right up to everyone, tail wagging, waiting for some loving. EVERYONE said, 1. He's so BIG (yes, yes he is - 110 lbs. of love), and 2. He's gorgeous! Yup, that's my boy!

While visiting with one elderly gentleman, we looked out his window and saw three deer strolling by. The old guy grinned and told us they come to visit every day. I live in such a magical place.

Next visit is Thursday but I'm more confident now - and so is Duke.

Well, Duke's mom likes the visits too. Today we had the second of three evaluations. We went to a day care facility for mentally challenged adults. It was awesome to see their eyes light up when they reached out to touch the dogs. There were only two dogs, Duke and Amber, a goldendoodle. We didn't stay long - just worked the room, give out LOTS of doggie kisses and then left. Once again, Dukie got all excellent marks. I'm SO proud of my boy.
