Just wondering if it’s to early for me to share my query. I know I need 50 posts to share my work, but what about my query? I'm sure I've read it somewhere, but me and keeping information down just dosn't work. Yeah, it's kind of like this :e2bike2:. I know some things are as easy as riding a bike, but still I crash and fall, and still I get back up, and still I crash and fall and so on and so on. sometimes my brain doesn't work, but it's the only one I've got.

Honestly I don't know the answer to your question. Though seeing you are only 9 posts away from the coveted 50 required to create new threads in share your work, perhaps you could take some time to read and offer feedback on other members' submissions. You may find feedback for your own work through the suggestions provided to others also :)

Yes, the 50-post rule applies to QLH (Query Letter Hell). As LA*78 mentioned, it would be good to provide some feedback in the SYW section. That way, when you do post your query letter, fellow members will be inclined to return the favor.

I would be remiss if I didn't warn you: It's called Query Letter Hell for good reason, so be prepared. Thick skin is a must.

Good luck!

I will reiterate the advice to offer a few critiques of your own first (preferably in Query Letter Hell). There are a lot of people who are regulars there, and they'll be more likely to help you out if they've seen you contributing.

And, yes, it's Query Letter Hell, but it's not that bad. After all, everyone goes in knowing most authors suck at queries even if they're good at writing the books.

Oh, and make sure you read the stickies first. They're a good way to avoid common query mistakes. While you're at it, you should take a look at the Query Shark blog.

Yes, you need 50 posts to start a thread anywhere in the Share Your Work forums, which includes the Query section. And the others have offered some very good advice about offering critiques on other people's work.

I'm also going to lock the thread, for no other reason as the question has been answered and so locking will stop the 'welcome to the forums' posts that were all ready given in your intro thread.
