Back in January, I sent a magazine an article proposal. The assistant told me she would run it by the editors, but it might take several months before I had a response. Meanwhile, I've had ideas for several other articles this magazine might be interested in. Should I wait until I hear back about the first article proposal? Or is it okay to go ahead and submit other proposals while I wait? I don't want to seem like I'm spamming them.
Also, since I have several proposals, how long should I wait in between each one? As I said, I don't want to spam them, nor do I want approval for all the proposals at once, as that would put too much pressure on me.
Their guidelines don't specify any of this. If it matters, it's a specialized craft magazine with articles that are usually written by readers who know their stuff, rather than freelancers. They're used to working with ignorant newbie writers, not professionals, but I still want to appear like I know what I'm doing. (I thought I would find this question already in the archives, but a Google search didn't find anything relevant.)
