I hope Lacresha and everyone else knowingly involved with the scam get jailtime.

Rumor has it that there is a Movie deal in the works for Lacresha Hayes' book, The Rape of Innocence. While I know this is bunk it makes me laugh that they are STILL out there trying to lie to folks. Last I heard the Hayes's we seperated and living in seperate states. LWPC is no longer in existance (as though it ever really was anyway) and supposedly Lensey "Mike" Hayes is filing bankruptsy although he refuses to give me his attorney's name and information for filing a claim so I believe that story to be bunk as well. I have heard several other things as well but it is hard to tell fact from fiction when it comes to stories about those folks. I do know that one or both of them are still on probation (Lensey definatly in Texas). Unfortunatly it seems the law enforcement of Critteden County has done nothing about the many filed complaints of Fraud. I am disappointed in ths but what can I do? This would be a rumor started by the author herself, I take it?

Of course, it would be ironic if she was the victim of a scam by a fake movie producer.

It appears Lacresha plans to open another publishing entity called Lanico Enterprises. It initially opened in 2010 under a different name but apparently nothing came of it.

I'm not entirely sure what this company actually does, (grant writing, business consulting, book promotions, the kitchen sink...) but there's a submissions page. And they're doing two anthologies as well.

It sickens me that they STILL are around. Clearly FRAUD is not illegal in this country.

If this company is run anything like her previous companies..... RUN. Do not apply for a job with this company, do not submit any book ideas... you'll never get paid!! Her and he Husband Lensey Hayes are both felons and criminals still. (Verified, just look it up or i can post documents if needed) They owe THOUSANDS to so many people including myself. This is simply sad that they continue to defraud people and get away with it. If you work for them, yes, you may be OK now but mark my words, it wont last and soon you'll have no money coming from them.

DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!!

Odd derail.
I know this post was in March, but I just saw it.
I recognize that writing excerpt. Almost verbatim but I can't remember where! I think someone had a story in SYW with that, or something rather like it, that I did a critique/line-by-line for about two years ago.
Once I figure it out, if I do, I'll report back in.
