Hi, John

I'm going to move this over to YA. Now, the mods there might find a more appropriate place. Hold on to your seat for just a sec. The ride should be smooth, but one never knows. :D

Are there not some Adult Books that are dystopian? 1984, 1Q84, Children Of Men, Farenheit 451, Brave New World, Kallocain, The Sheep Look Up, Shockwave Rider, Handmaids tale, and Atlas Shrugged comes to mind at first.

Again, post apocalypse and dystopia are totally different genre's. Its only when YA dystopia came out there were an influx of post apocalypse dystopias.

I'm reading a dystopia called The Dream Master, a proto-cyberpunk novel written in 1966 by Roger Zelzany.

There's plenty of adult dystopia out there for sure... Of course the classics like those JustSarah mentioned, but also a new crop. My novel, for example is a modern adult-centered dystopia.
For the Dystopia Challenge you can read YA or adult. I liked the Hunger Games series (I read two of them), but prefer adult dystopia especially if it has contemporary social commentary.

This sounds fun, and I love your badge!

I've read most of those books, but there are still some I haven't so I might join up.

I am feeling a bit dystopia-d out at the moment though, after writing two and a half books in the genre and reading everything that's been out recently, I kinda need a break. :)

Good to see people are still reading YA dystopia though.

Actually I'll probably just stick with a classic. I was thinking of reading Gone, Gone, Gone.
