For anyone insisting it should be Arctic with a capital A, keep this in mind:

It's in the dictionary as arctic, no capital.

Next entry (in mine) is Arctic Circle.

If you are describing air that came from inside the arctic circle, I'd use Arctic air. But, if you want to say the air was very cold, etc, I'd use arctic.

Agree.
Use lowercase when using it as an adjective to describe cold weather.
Otherwise Arctic or Arctic Circle when you refer to region or actual circle.
