Or Velveeta and Whiz.

Or maybe they could be the villains.

:D

"Whiz!"

"I'll do it, man!"

"Think of Velveeta!"

"One more step and I swear I will!"

"Don't be crazy with the cheese, Whiz!"

...um, yeah.:gone:

I once read a story where everyone was named after fruit and vegetables! Oh wait, that was the Munch Bunch, and I was 4.... :D

In all honesty, I didn't pick up on the cheesiness until you mentioned it.

I actually LOVE the idea of all the characters in a book being named after types of cheese.

Colby might be a bit obvious for an American, but not a Canadian or Briton. And if you went for lesser known varieties such as Oka or ones that double as surnames like 'Romano' you could have a lot of fun!

And now I want cheese...

Me too.

"Why did you shoot him? You're a Muenster!"
"I trust no Swiss who is not holy..."
"You mean 'holey.'"

I gotta admit, I haven't changed their names yet, and the more I write, the more I love the idea of naming all my characters after cheeses. It's like a little riddle for the reader, and besides, I like cheese! :)

This is funny.

Imagine:

"How are you doing, Colby?"

"I'm not feeling very well, Jack."

"Ask Pepper to give you some medicine."

"No, she's pissed off at me for kissing Gorgonzola last night. I think I'd be better off calling Gouda."

"OK," Colby said, patting Jack on the shoulder. "It's gonna be all right. Pepper doesn't stay angry forever."

"I sure hope so, because we were gonna name our first child Pepper Jack."
