Hi, my name's Stephanie. I've been lurking here for awhile, reading critiques and such, and I thought it might be time to come out of the shadows and join in 
Basically, I never before fancied myself a writer, but I've worked in a bookstore for years. Seeing the hundreds and hundreds of new books that would get published each year, I remember thinking to myself "This can't be that hard!". I was humbly wrong. I've been developing my WIP for a few years now, and I can say that while imagining it up is a blast, writing it down is one of the hardest things I've ever done. It's been quite a learning experience, though.
Anyway, my aim is not to become a professional writer, but I'd like to finish my WIP, and maybe write a few more things as well. I'd like to be published and read, but even if that never happens, I'll be happy just knowing I've written a book. I hope I can learn alot here, and maybe even help a few others as well.
