Hello, Water Cooler folk!
My name is Jane Bigelow. I've been writing for, oh, quite awhile; have given it up a couple of times due to family circumstances or just giving up in hopes of having a normal life. Doesn't work. I'm an addict, and I don't want to recover.
I've published one fantasy novel, Talisman, with Pronghorn Press, a few short stories, and a number of nonfiction pieces for local publications.
I've finished a second novel and want to find an agent for it. Annette Chaudet of Pronghorn Press was great to work with, but I'd like to find a publisher with wider distribution. Oh, and I'm currently working on a third novel, a short story for an anthology, and some freelance editing.
No disrespect to self or indie publishing is intended! I've watched a couple of people do quite well that way. Neither one of them looks at a room full of strangers and feels a strong urge to run away. I do--feel the urge, that is. In practice I am a brave girl and go in there and even have fun.
