Hello fellow writers!

My name is Mirth. Is that a silly name to use? English is not my first language, so I'm not sure. I just like that word.

I've been lurking in the shadows for almost two years now and I've learned a great deal from what I've read here so far. I thought it would be nice to register and say thanks to you AW. ;)

I'm mostly around the General Writing Interest part of the forum, as I'm not aiming for publication just yet... :rolleyes: I'm also taking a look at the Nano threads. I'm doing it for the first time, but it's been a busy semester for me, and I'll probably have to work a miracle to finish my novel during the last week of the event, when I'll be finally free. I know what you're thinking... But working a miracle sounds much easier to me than the idea of giving up. I hope I can make it. Pass an important exam and win Nano at the same time. Gahhh! *bites nails*

Is it too obvious now that I *only* joined AW to be comforted by you all? Maybe, but who cares? Everybody needs love. :D

Oops, I think it's a little early for that. A few hellos and welcomes would do fine, too. ;)

Thanks. These boards looks much more friendly than the ones I've been a member of, but it still took me a while to join. Can't wait to have more time to explore it!

Thanks. If you hadn't liked it, you could call me Joy then, I think. :tongue

I first heard this word on a Smiths' song called Wonderful Woman, in which Morrissey sings: 'I'm staaarved offf mirth. Let's go and trip a dwarf.'

Later when he sings 'But when she calls me, I do not walk, I run', I can feel my heart melting. Ok, I'll stop fangirling now. :D

Also: school AND NaNo?! Are you mad?!

Well, if you pass the test and also finish your book, promise you will let us know - that kind of achievement should come with a diploma AND a tattoo.

I know, right? I also took some time this month to improve my baking skills, and it wasn't so bad. Trust me, I should be very thankful for that alone. ;)

Test was yesterday and I feel free. We'll get to know the official grades in 20 days.
